What was the group’s planning process?
· Explore the materials.
· Plan how to build the bridge by drawing.
· Secure the base.
· Add in detail e.g. tracks, cars, lamp posts.

What would be your teaching objectives in this activity?
Children will be able to:
· Use their creativity to design the bridge.
· Display team work
· Learn science facts: Need a secure base
· Plan out their design.
· Thinking of solutions to solve problem.

What would be the children’s learning points/discovery areas?
· Creative use of different materials
· Relate their daily observations to their creation
· Enhance thinking skills.
· Learn how to mix colours

List of open-ended questions?
· What do you think you can do with the materials?
· How do you secure the base?
· Why did you decide to design your bridge in this way?
· Can you suggest other ways to build a bridge?
· What else can you do to make your bridge more attractive?

Follow-up activities
· Field trip to observe different kinds of bridges.
· Children can learn about road safety. Go to road safety park.
